The Museum campus is an extraordinary site, spread over 80 hectors (197 acres approx.) of undulating land on the banks of a seven mile long lake in the Bhopal city. Special feature: 36 natural rock shelters with prehistoric rock paintings, and evidence of other ancient human habitations.

Museum Timings -

11.00 hrs to 18.30 hrs (1st March to 31st August) Entry closes at 18.00 hrs.

10.00 hrs to 17.30 hrs (1st September to 28/29th February) Entry closes at 17.00 hrs.

Closed on Mondays and national Holidays (January, 26 , August 15,  & October 02)

Entrance Fee

Adult: Rs.10/- per head

Children (up to 12 years) : Nil (Free  Pass made available)

50% discount on ticket fee is allowed to Group Visitors  representing recognized  educational Institutions on certain conditions.
